The bigger the curve, the easier it is to raise the puck. With a smaller curve, you have to use more power to raise it (but not much more). With smaller curves, you have better puck control, and a better backhand. Usually center's have smaller curves because they have to use there backhand more, and wingers have bigger curves.

The higher (more curved) the blade is, the more likely you are to have a controlled wrist shot, but some accuracy will be lost in your slapshot. The lie of your blade will also affect your shot. The higher the lie rating, generally, the higher your shot will go. I am a sniper and use a lie 6 because i like shots to go high, quickly. Defensemen should use a lower lie with a straighter curve to imporve accuracy.

every player is better on their forehand. the curve of the stick gives you better puck control which gives you more accuracy. That's why its hard to lift the puck on the backhand since the curve is on the other side

Because you are not supposed to use the lump bit and the lump bit is bulky so you can't shoot accurately
