Yes.

Generally the higher the air pressure, the higher the ball will bouncedue to their being less surface area when the ball hits the ground which means less friction to slow the ball.

Consiquently the lower the air pressure the lower the ball will bounce.

due to there being more surface area and more friction.

yes that is right but if you have a different air pump different Basketball or different surface will change the whole thing

How does the amount of air pressure in a basketball affect how high the basketball bounces?

Basketballs are inflated with air to make them bounce. When inflated, the basketball's elastic bladder is capable of rebounding when dropped or dribbled on a hard surface. In general, the higher the air pressure is inside the basketball, the higher it will bounce.

Why do basketballs bounce the highest?

they have lots of air in them so they can bounce high

How do basketballs bounce?

because of the air inside of the ball

What affect the bounce of a basketball?

The pressure from the air inside of it

How does air pressure affect the bounce of a ball?

Air doesn't effect the bounce of the ball much higher air pressure the harder the ball lower pressure softer the ball temp effects it too colder soft warmer harder

Do leather basketballs bounce higher than rubber basketballs?

I would say yes but it all depends on how much air is in the basketball in question.

How does air temperature and air pressure affect your flexibility?

the temperature of a basketball effects it's bounce because the air partacles in the ball slow down causing it to lose pressure and it doesn't bounce as well. if a ball has more pressure it bounces better.

How does air pressure affect the number of basket bounces?

The more air pressure within a basketball, the more capable it is to bounce efficiently, rather than a basketball with little air pressure.

Does the temperature affect how high or low a basketball can bounce?

Yes, temperature affects the pressure of the air and when the pressure outside the ball is lower, the pressure inside will be greater, thus making it bounce better.

What causes leather basketballs to bounce?

A leather basketball has a inner rubber bladder which is inflated with air.

How does air being heated affect the air pressure?

When air is heated the particles become excited and move and bounce off of surfaces causes pressure on it's container.

Why is composite leather used in basketballs?

It is better for bounce and it seals in air better than standard leather.

How does air pressure affect weather?

the warmth of the sun heats the Earth surface and that heat bounce off

How high does a ball bounce depending of the air pressure in the ball?

the ball bounce high cause of the air in the ball If there is more air pressure in the ball it will bounce higher likewise if there is less air pressure it will bounce lower. This could be done by exposing the ball in different temperatures. If the ball gets hotter it will bounce higher and if gets colder it will bounce lower.

What is the air pressure in a basketball?

air pressure is what give the ball its weight and its bounce

How does air pressure effect the bounce of a basketball?

the ball wont bounce high enough for you to bounce it.

What is the bounce factor of a basketball?

Several factors affect the bounce of a basketball including the height that it was dropped from. The bounce factor includes elasticity, air pressure, force applied to it, and how rigid the surface is that the ball is bounced on.

What effect does air pressure have on the bounce of a basketball?

the more air pressure that better it bounces

Does it matter how much air pressure is in a basketball?

Yes, it does with out air pressure the basketball will not bounce high as it's supposed to. It might also not bounce at all.

Does air pressure inside a soccer ball effect it's bounce?

yes. higher pressure = better bounce

How are the physical properties of an orange different from those of a basketball?

-- Basketballs are much larger in size than oranges. -- Basketballs are filled with air, but oranges are filled with juice and pulp. -- Basketballs have much higher air pressure than oranges. -- Oranges grow on trees while basketballs are manufactured. -- The density of an orange is much greater than the density of a basketball. -- An orange is juicy, easy to chew, and sweet, whereas a basketball is dry, rubbery, and tastes terrible. -- A basketball can bounce and a orange cannot bounce.

Does air pressure affect the bounce of a volleyball?

How Quickly Does a Tennis Ball Lose Its Bounce?

Tennis balls bounce because the air pressure inside is higher than the outside pressure. They begin to lose bounce as soon as removed from their pressure can. The alititude where the ball is played will affect the bounce. As they are played, they lose more bounce. Typically, they lose too much bounce to play after about 3 sets of recreational (amateur) tennis, or 8 games of professional tennis.

Does warm air affect the bounce of a tennis ball?

yes Im sure it would, not necessarily warm air, but changes in pressure (air) as Im sure I can notice with my bike tyres!

Why does a pumped ball bounce higher than a flat ball?
