Depends on the player. Hybrids have slightly longer shafts so go a bit farther. They are also very forgiving so more consistent.

What is the Distance of a 7 hybrid golf club?

If this question is in reference to a hybrid golf club that is a hybrid of a 1 iron, then the answer is as follows. There is not a "general" distance any golf club should hit a ball.. The length of a golf shot is not only determined by the club, but by many other factors, such as swing path, the golf ball itself, wind speed and other weather conditions and most importantly club head speed. Let me give an example, my father who is 65+ hits a 5 iron about 150-160 yards. I am 23 years old and I hit a 5 iron between 200 and 230. Right there, you have almost a 100 yard difference between two people using the same club.... In trying to give an answer to this questions, a 1 hybrid golf club should be around or exceed 200 yards.. Again, this is really determined by your swing and the club head speed you generate. Hope that helps!

When do you use a hybrid?

A hybrid combines the best qualities of a wood and of an iron into one club which many believe is much easier to hit. You can hit a hybrid off the tee on any hole, or you can use it for an approach shot, they are designed to be hit from the rough and from bunkers and you can even use them to chip with when you are near the green.

On a full swing in golf does a wedge hit the ball further then a five iron?

No, a 5 iron would hit the ball about 180 where as a wedge about 125. Depends who is hitting it.

What irons do hybird woods replace ie 3 4 and 5?

A 3 wood has 15 degrees of loft, and as it has a longer shaft you would probably have to go for a 14 degree hybrid as a replacement. But a 15 or 16 degree one would be easier to hit and easier to control, so probably a better choice.

Why can you hit a baseball further than a softball?

Depends on who hits it.

What is a G iron in golf used for?

The reason a one iron is so hard to hit is because it has such little loft on it, which makes it hard to get the ball airbourne and also have any control over it. Even though a 3 wood would have less loft, they are designed with the centre of gravity in the best place to get the bair in the air and also give you moderate control.

Will a aluminum bat hit further than a wooden bat?

What is the difference between a fairway utility and a fairway wood?

The utility club, or rescue, or Hybrid is there to replace your long irons. That's why you see them marked as 3h - 4h or 5h that is to designate the iron it's replacing. The hybrid is the same length as your iron or just slightly longer. but it should be the same degree of loft. Hit it as you would your long irons, they are more forgiving, easier to hit, and better out of rough. Fairway woods have bigger heads and generally quite low lofts from 13 to about 23 or so. They also have longer shafts.
