Yes, Ginny begins playing Seeker for the Gryffindor team in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She replaces Harry after Professor Umbridge bans him, Fred and George from playing. When Harry resumes playing, after Umbridge leaves, Ginny starts playing Chaser for the Gryffindor team.

As an adult, Ginny plays professionally for the Holyhead Harpies. She quits playing to have her children, and subsequently becomes the Senior Quidditch Correspondent for the Daily Prophet.

Yes he was. James Potter, when he was a student in Hogwarts, was a Gryffindor Chaser.

In the first movie Hermione showed Harry and Ron a plaque of old Qudditch players which showed James as a seeker, however JK Rowling has stated he was a chaser.
