Yes. He will replaced Jim Zorn. Last time he came back in 2004, while he did not take the Redskins back to the Supper Bowl, he did take the skins twice to the playoffs. He won five straight games in 2005 and then won a wild-card playoff game against Tampa. In his last year in 2007, he motivated his team to win the last four games of the season and the team made it to the playoffs.
Gibbs III will be a more successful return to football and closer to what we saw during his first time as Head Coach of the Redskins when the skins made it to four Super Bowls, winning three. Joe Gibbs has won 17 playoff games, second only to Tom Landry's 19 victories. Come back Joe, and win 3 more playoff games and then you can finally retire for good.
