Chumbi is not an accurate spelliing of a Korean term for Taekwondo, and probably is being mispronounced.

준비 Junbi (pronounced "June-Be") means "ready"

경례 Gyeongrye (pronounced "Gyuhng-ryay") or Gyeongnye ("Gyuhng-nyay")

means to bow as a formal greeting or salutation - - to salute.

In Taekwondo, the instructor says the command of "Charyeot" (attention), and "Gyeongnye" (bow). The students either bow silently, or respond with whatever verbal expression the instructor prefers, such as "gamsahamnida" (thank you), or "Taekwon!" or some other such reply.

Which kind of martial arts is most closely related to tae kwon do?

The art of Tae Kwon Do is probably very original from Korea and could be as old as Korea itself! I would say the closest martial art would be Hap Ki Do, which is also from Korea, and also as old as the first one. Even though these two martial arts are very different, the do share some of the basic moves, such as certain kicks and punches. I'm no historian, but did have the privilege of practicing both sports. Hap Ki Do as a small kid, and Tae Kwon Do as a teen. In my opinion, Hap Ki Do is focused more on the self defense side, and Tae Kwon Do is more on the aggressive side. I would even compare Hap Ki Do to Judo and Tae Kwon Do to Karate if I had to make an analogy.

What is the advantage of Tae Kwon Do?

ok well from my experience, (as a tae kwon do black belt ) Id say that some advantages of tae kwon do is that after time you get disciplined, your muscles get toned (uper body and lower body of course), speed in the kicks, you can loose weight, its very good if you have stress problems. It also can help to get self estem and have confidence in your self. You learn combat, but it can only be used in the doyang. I recomend it because its an excellent excercise if you want to work your entire body, it reduces weight, and helps most of psicologic problems such as stress and depresion.
