Can't say for sure but most leagues determine teams by age in the summer and grade in school. There can be a combination in school that would allow a very young 8th grader to compete at the 7th grade level. If the kid is a stud he should be playing 8th grade school. If he is a dud because of size wait til he grows and keep at it. If he is a dud not because of size then find another sport! Baseball is BORING when you are not good and you know it.

It depends on the specific league they are playing in. Some leagues have minimum innings rules, some don't.

What is the last chevron for on a stargate?

A standard, 7-symbol gate address allows for travel within the same galaxy. Use of the Stargate's eighth chevron allows for travel to a different galaxy. And the ninth chevron will allow the team to reach this second, still unmanned Ancient ship. Also a gate has to be within geosychrinis orbit or has to be on the planet to calibrate its point in space and to work at all. In addition, out of a regular 7 chevron dialing, the first 6 chevrons plot a course in space, since to find a 3-D location in space you need six points. And the seventh is a point of origin. The eighth and ninth chevron are a "dialing code" to say.
