Caddies usually take home between 6%-10% of a player's tournament earnings. Tiger earned a little less than $10 Million last year, so Steve Williams could have made about $1 million last year.

It is reported that Steve makes roughly 1 million per year. He gets a fixed rate, plus a percentage of Tigers winnings. I think the standard rate is 10% but he may get more or less, based on how many times Tiger wins he could get by on less.

As an aside, he is considered the highest earning New Zealand athlete.

In 2008 he donated 1 million dollars to a charity so he must have a pretty good bank account

Yes, Professional Golfers always use the same caddy. They do so because they make get on well with them, they trust their club selection, are good with yardages and can help read putts.

There is no official disclosure of this. But you could find it is at least $2 million a year. It could be even more.
