What is the difference between a Oversized Driver and regular driver?
There is not much of a difference anymore. A regular driver used to have a small head around 360cc and an oversized one used to have around 460cc, now the club manufacturers have realised that drivers with bigger heads are better, so now all drivers are around 420-460cc. The oversized drivers used to be easier to hit because the bigger head allowed them to be a lot more forgiving. The term oversized driver doesn't really apply anymore.
Is there a difference between a wood golf club and a driver golf club?
The main differences are a fairway wood has a smaller head, more loft and a shorter shaft. Obviously the driver has a larger head to a maximum of 460cc, a loft of mainly 8.5 to 10.5 degrees, and a shaft which can be around 44-46 inches long.

Wouldn't think so. The maximum clubhead size allowed under the rules of golf is 460cc.

A D golf club is the largest club in golf, it is used for drives to start par 4's and 5's. The D stands for driver. It is generally about 460cc. The D basically only used off the tee, because without the use of the tee, the ball is too low on the club, and this will result in inproper ball trajectory.

An illegal golf club head is anything that is over 460cc's They are best found on the internet. I have one that is 650cc and oh man is it HUGE! I love it. It's is definitely a conversation peice. Hope this helps, Sean
Are some golf drivers longer then others?
Yes, depending on what number they are. I don't think that drivers of the same number are usually longer than each other, though. There is a standard length but not all manufacturers follow the standard. So the same number of driver from two different makers may well be of different lengths. And it doesn't end there: Steel shafts are generally 0.5 inches shorther than graphite. Custom shafts can vary by up to 3 inches. Ladies and junior clubs are also different lengths.
What clubs have the PGA banned from use?
As early as 2005 the PGA had banned drivers which had a 460cc+ head or had a COR of greater than .83, this was to limit the distance the tour players were getting. By 2010 u-grooves will be illegal as they believe a lot of skill has been taken out of the game by these grooves which stop the ball easier on greens, even from thick rough. If you are referring to the USGA and R and A, golf's governing bodies then the driver rules as above came into effect on 1st January 2008 and the groove rule still isn't finalised but looks to be as far away as 2024!
