John Cena lost to The Rock at WrestleMania 28 after trying mock The Rock, and steal one of his finishing moves, The People's Elbow. The Rock got up though, after Cena rebounded off the ropes, and Rock Bottomed him for the win. At WrestleMania 29, John Cena and The Rock had a rematch, but this time, for the WWE Championship. This time, Cena proceeded to win this match, and win the WWE Championship from The Rock.
