∙ 14y agoEasily. Almost any player at men's grade (and many in women's grades) can hit the ball hard enough to do so - and there are also many players, especially at international level, who can push or flick the ball that fast - even if the victim is wearing head protection.

∙ 13y agoThere have been No recorded incidents which claim to have resulted in decapitation by a Field Hockey stick. However, you are more likely to just crush their throat and/or wedge the stick into a person's vertebrae.

In field hockey, the ball is normally white, dimpled, made of hard plastic and around the size of a fist; most are hollow to achieve the correct weight. In ice hockey, a puck is used instead. It is normally black, smooth and made of hard solid rubber.

To play floor hockey, one would need a lightweight plastic ball, or a heavier ball. Sometimes a normal hockey stick, field hockey or bandy sticks are required.
