I suffered finger numbness after pitching, was the ulna nerve, (funny bone), surgical fix at the elbow.. Can still throw.
Probably due to damage of the nerve cells in your finger.
Nerve Damage was created in 2004.
This question is too broad. You could have nerve damage with a finger or arm and leg cuts, in the spinal cord or damage to the brain.
ulna
You are asking too broad and open ended of a question. It all depends on why/how you sustained "nerve damage that started at your finger.". If you have decreased sensation in your fingers from advanced diabetes, called diabetic neuropathy, then sure, it can advance up your arm as your condition worsens. If you had "nerve damage" to your fingers from a deep cut to your finger, for example, then no, it shouldn't affect your arm. If you have a brain tumor affecting your fingers, it can affect your arm as the tumor grows. Bottom line: you can't get all the answers from the Internet. Advice: see a doctor. If you're not happy with his/her answer, seek a second opinion.
I had surgery to repair a nerve on my right index finger 12/01/10. I am still not able to use my finger and it is 12/24/10. I have to wait for the sutures to dissolve. The Dr said it may take another week or two still. It has been a rather painful process but I do have feeling in my finger again. Also the surgery I was told isn't always effective. Talk to a hand Surgeon and see if you are a candidate. Just be prepared for a long recovery. Good luck!
Are you trying to heal or inflict nerve damage?
