As a Nebraska resident I called game and parks. The interpretaion of nebraska law regarding this varies from county attorney to county attorney. Call the county attorney of residence first to see if you can own one and then the county you are going to hunt in. For example in ottoe county it is permissable to own and hunt with a bow.

If the conviction is that of murder in the first degree, or second degree, than no. Normally any felon cannot use a firearm which Idaho classifies as anything that can be shot or thrown. The felon at hand can ask for that right back though.

Think of each state as a separate country; they ALL have different laws. What's legal in New York is possibly illegal in Florida, what's legal in Utah is most likely against the law in Oregon. You MUST check with Delaware's state laws...which includes Delaware's Hunting Laws (Fish & Game Department-those too WILL have different names (titles), in some states, GAME WARDENS are called CONSERVATION OFFICERS).

A cross bow may not be allowed by the state for anyone. You are probably on safer ground with a bow and arrow. Check in with the caseworker before getting involved in either.
