Choosing a best all around athlete in the world is difficult. Athletes that compete in more than one discipline require fitness development in a number of areas. My choice would be a triathlon athlete given that they swim, run and cycle. Specifically I feel that Simon Whitfield is an excellent all around athlete and he has been able to sustain fitness over many years.
