The Baseball you have is an Official National League baseball with the stamped signature of the league president Ford Frick. The date 1937 could be a clue to the 24 signatures on the baseball. The signatures could be a 1937 team signed baseball, and you would have to match the names to a team to figure out the value. If not the signatures could have also been signed at an All -Star game, at the a Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, or just random players at the ballpark. Visit the Team Signed Baseball Price Guide located below (Related Links). The price guide features links to full team rosters to help you figure out what team the players are from if the baseball is in fact a team signed baseball. Check the names on the teams from 1937 starting with teams that play in the city your grandfather is from, or visited. Then move on to near by cities. If The signatures are random players you would have to figure out the key signatures that would have the most value. The team signed baseball price guide also lists key signatures and you might find it helpful.
A signature is not in itself a legal document; it does not agree to anything or assert anything. It is, at most, a souvenir. Sometimes one can get a certificate of authenticity for something such as a signed baseball, a signed photograph, etc., but that is not the same as notarization.
It would depend upon the signature.
