Cal Ripken and Yaz. Andy Etchebarren wore number 8 for the Orioles before Ripken. Other number 8 wearers whose numbers have been retired are Yogi Berra and Bill Dickey, both of the New York Yankees.; Joe Morgan of the Cincinnati Reds; Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
