That depends on the year and who the player is and what condition. There are Baseball card catalogs in newstands that show the value of certain cards by year and name of player and company of card manufacturer.

The value of a common card will vary from year to year, and from set to set. Commons from the last series of cards issued of the set or High numbers will have a higher value. Common is a term used to describe a card that is not a rookie, semi-star, or star card. These are usually the least expensive cards in a set. "Singles" has also become a widely acceptable term for commons. The term Common can also be used in regard to lesser known or desired players in any given memorabilia set such as silk blankets, or figurines for example. High Numbers is a description of the last, or near the last series in a baseball card set. Traditionally, manufacturers would produce cards in several series. As the season would wind down, so would public interest and production. This lower print run resulted in more limited supply and later, more valuable cards. High Series - Also known as a high number series or high number, a high series contains baseball cards from the last series distributed for a set in a given year. Many of these older high series cards are of great value, as they were often released after the baseball season, when interest for baseball was waning. Therefore, these cards were often printed or distributed in smaller amounts than those of the preceding series. The most well known high series is from the 1952 Topps set (#311-407), which includes Mickey Mantle's first Topps card (#311).

Just like the original cards, to put a value on a replica card more information would be needed. The year issued, the company that issued the card, the player, and card number are all needed.

Where do you go to get true value for baseball cards?

Selling Baseball CardsIf you sell your baseball cards to a dealer you will only get about half the market value, more or less depending on the popularity of the card, and the length of time the dealer thinks it would take to resell. To get the true market value (book value) you would want to sell directly to a collector. Auction houses are a great place to sell valuable baseball cards. eBay is also a good venue for selling collectibles. There are plenty of hard core baseball card collectors shopping on eBay. However, if the cards you have are common and in low demand you might have a hard time selling them.
