18-20 feet is awesome
24 feet or above is amazing and scholarship to any college you want.
( btw I'm a girl do these are the girls averages but guys generly jump 1-2 feet longer)

Yes they can, but not particularly far or high. But on average, they should be able to jump a short distance.

I'm a sophomore and I jump 5'10". That's about average or a little more than average but at big meets a lot of guys jump upwards of 6'6" but then again I'm only in 10th grade.
It is impressive for someone who is not in junior high school yet.
We do not even know ho invented the high jump. It was the greeks, and i doubt they had a standard High School in the old days.
