Not really. Most people take more of an interest in sport (as in spectating) at the time surrounding any major competition, the Olympics being one of them, but participation is not noticeably changed before, during or directly after the tournament.
Depends what pipe fitter. Also depends how busy he/she is how many people he/she has working working for them. and what type of pipes they fit too.
