No. The bulk of the value of the signature will be determined on condition, how well the Baseball displays the signature, and how well the ink (color) stands out in contrast to the white baseball.

The signature should be strong, and bold, as opposed to faded and hard to see. In the case of a baseball Blue ballpoint pen would be most preferred by collectors over sharpie which tends bleed on a baseball, and has proven to hold up better over time than other inks.

The color ink would be a collectors preference on display, but there would be less collectors that would desire the green ink over the blue, and less demans, means less value. That is not to say that you cannot get full market value for the signature if it displays well.

If the signature is not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less. For more information on signed baseballs read my newsletter (link below) "How much Is My Autographed Baseball?

What is the value of a Sharpie signed Mickey Mantle photo?

Nothing. The Sharpie type of pen was NOT invented until AFTER Mr Mantle DIED, so he could NOT have signed that one. Mickey Mantle was alive, and well in the late 1980s when he signed my Black & White Photo in Sharpie. I will include a link for you to see. You will also find information on what it's worth. Authenticating the signature will raise the value. PSA/DNA is one of the top authenticators in the business. The original Sharpie marker was first introduced in 1964 and has since expanded into a wide product line. Today, Sharpies are sold in seven varieties, according to the shape and size of their tip(s), ranging from "Ultra Fine" to "Super Bold". They also come in 34 ink colors..... Source: wikipedia.org online encyclopedia A Mickey Mantle signed 8 x 10 photo sells for about $150.-$300. Price will vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Photo composition, and appeal will effect the price as well. Part of the value will be determined by how well the photo displays the signature. The type of ink used, and how it stands out in contrast to the photograph will also effect the price. Sharpie would be most preferred for a photo. Larger and more desired pictures could sell for more.Mickey Mantle signed a lot of Autographs. One of the most sought after signatures, there are also a lot of fakes on the market. The numbers are alarming. This is why to get top dollar for an autograph it should be properly authenticated.
