It's possible the engine is plugged with sludge and needs to be flushed. You might consider having the radiator "boiled" at the same time. One more thing, a common mistake, make sure the new thermostat is not in backwards.

I have the same problem except for my rad fans not kicking on till 237 degrees. I have changed the coolant temp sensor all fan relays and thermostat. most signs point to head gasket.

How do you tell if your water pump is bad on Chevy 350?

The most obvious symtom would be overheating of the engine.

How do you know if your thermostat is bad?

If your engine is overheating and has no obvious leaks then suspect the thermostat. Of course you can remove it and check it, but the best thing to do is just replace it if it is suspect. It should be replaced every time you service the cooling system. when you turn your heater on the it wont blow hot air

Had timing belt replaced now it makes a noise?

It is obvious that whomever replaced the belt did something wrong. Take the car back to the person who replaced the belt.

How often does a car battery have to be replaced?

Batteries should be replaced about every 3 to 5 years, some can even last seven. However, it is obvious that if the battery dies (with no ability to "jump"), is corroted, or gets a dead cell in it then it should be replaced.

How change a battery in a 2003 Cadillac Seville?

In the 2003 Seville STS, the battery is located under the back passenger's seat. To access it, your best option is to enter the car from the right rear passenger's door and lift the seat cushion by pushing in towards the the trunk and then upwards. The rest should be obvious as youwill have complete and unobstructed access to the battery and mounting bracket.

What is wrong with a 1995 Saturn SL2 which overheats while city driving and runs cold when driving in the highway?

Check to make sure the aux cooling fans are running. The motor could be faulty. I have a 92 SL2 that did the same thing. Assuming that the engine is similar...what happened to mine was that the coolant temp sensor was bad. Of course it stayed cool while highway...but when in city...it did not signal fan to come on...with the obvious overheating. I replaced it..and that fixed the prob.

How do tell if you have bad tires Aside from the obvious worn tred?

You can't. You could always go to a garage and they will always tell you they are bad.. Worn tread is obvious. Overheating or sliding around or under or oversteer are tire pressure problems. Sure there are things like thrown tread (separation from the body) but this is because you bought junk. Apart from that, there is little to this subject.

Is the brady bunch better than the partridge family?

If you like the kiddy stuff- it's all right for you ( sounds like Don K. Reid intro- as for me- some heavier stuff- Chipettes, which are an obvious takeoff on well, here in Neptune"s Tub to dwell, Ronnie, Nedra, and Estelle- and Phil. (Dave Seville is Phl Spector, it is obvious). I"m talking about the Ronettes.

My previa is overheating after 30mins of driving and there are no leaks and the thermostat wasjust replaced can you give me some advise on what it could be?

just to state obvious first check fluid levels (oil water etc). Does the cabin heater blow hot air? if not it could be vapor locked (after having the 'stat replaced system not bled properly) have your local garage drain and refill system. Have your water pump checked for the internal fins being worn or rusted away. Also get the head gasket checked as these are prone to going and the sooner they are fixed the less damage you should be looking at. hope this helps

What is the adjective of obvious?

The adjective of "obvious" is "obvious."

Why wont car start after overheating?

Because they have an engine and if the engine cant have a break it will explode.~There can be several reasons, depending on the car/truck and the overheating problem. Check the basics after it has cooled awhile i.e. Check hoses, fan belt, oil level, coolant level and look for obvious coolant leaks. If those things are OK, give it another try and I bet it will start. NOTE: This should be a reminder to have the vehicle serviced ASAP.

Why should I use a photo organizer?

You should go with the obvious. Store all your precious photos especially the ones that can't be replaced like when your kids were babies or early pictures of family members.
