In this case there are a few possibilities. There is always a heat shield located on the starter. If this inst there heat causes high resistance and wont allow the vehicle to start until the starter cools down. It is also possible that you could have an intermitten leaky fuel injector or 2 that is flooding the engine after you shut it off and it takes some time for the engine to slear flood. Most GM's ahd a clear flood mode so if you have a leaky injector you can try hiolding the gas pedal to the floor, which temporarily kills the pulse to the injectors to clear a flood problem. Try this it cant hurt.
